  • Supervise a crew of 2 or more people in aspects of commercial flower install/maintenance.

  • Installation and maintenance of underground irrigation systems for commercial clients.
  • Work on existing irrigation systems to start up in the spring, monitor/adjust/repair during the season and winterize the system in the fall.
  • Position requires previous irrigation experience.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment a plus.
  • Also requires digging, working in tight spaces, prolonged periods of stretching/bending, the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and working during inclement weather.

  • Trains Crew Members on correctly and safely operating all equipment.
  • Coordinate & prioritize daily work schedule withProject Manager.
  • Obtains pertinent paperwork and job files prior to starting any new jobs.
  • Complete all daily paperwork i.e. timesheets, T&M tickets, field reports, accident reports and any other applicable paperwork.
  • Maintains tool inventory and coordinate equipment damage with Project Manager.

CDL Class B Driver will operate a variety of vehicles including bark and slinger trucks. Driver will deliver landscaping materials to various job sites w/in EMI’s service footprint. Driver will safely operate and maneuver large vehicles.

Always adhere to the EMSI Driver Policy.
Maintenance: Drivers are responsible to ensure the vehicle is always functioning properly and must report any problems immediately to management or the mechanic for prompt correction. Always maintain cleanliness of vehicle.

  • Responsible for daily pre-trip safety inspections.
  • Continually operate vehicle in safe manner taking into consideration weather, traffic and road conditions. Obey the rules of the road, posted traffic signs and speed limits.
  • Always maintain driver’s license. Report any and all infractions.
  • Adhere to EMSI, Inc drug free workplace policy.
  • Maintain Ohio DOT Physical Exam For CDL.

  1. Development of Season Color Displays
    • Flower Ordering / Site Designs / Inventory Control.
    • Creation of Project Notebooks – for crew usage.
    • Information Dissemination.
    • Development of display ideas / concepts.
    • Consistently update and maintain current Seasonal Color Database.
    • Development of Season Color Displays for all seasons.
    • Conduct field analysis and prepare AutoCAD base maps to facilitate the design process.
    • Request quotations from material suppliers and trade subcontractors.
    • Organize, review and log quotes in accordance with file management structure.
  2. Assists / Implement Project Upsells / Seasonal Color Enhancement*
    • Prospect current clients for seasonal color enhancement opportunities.
    • Review of pertinent site issues that require attention / approval for completion.
    • Communicate with specified salesman / Account Manager to propose cost to owner.
    • Implement work upon approval by owner / manager.
  3. Client Communication*
    • On-site communication with customers is required.
    • Oversee all interaction with clients regarding Seasonal Color and use proactive communication to keep Account Managers and clients informed.
    • Provide proactive site quality reviews and communicate evaluations internally and externally as necessary.
    • Schedule site walk throughs with client, resolve any issues discovered and follow through to ensure that the issue is resolved properly.
    • Identify and provide client with seasonal color site improvement suggestions.
    • Ensure clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashion.
    • Work with cross-functional internal teams (including Irrigation and Maintenance Operations Manager, Seasonal Color Manager, and Account Manager) to improve the entire customer experience.
    • Deliver presentations in front of small groups.
  4. Division Profitability*
    • Develop enhancement plans to increase department’s revenue.
    • Ensure projects are completed within budget and within budgeted hours.
